ROADTRIP!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree.Since living in the US, we have always spoken about doing a road trip down to California in the wagon.  What with the advent of Lenny, and a bit of work down here we combined to get the car packed up and leave the rain of Oregon for some sun.The scenery around Napa is beautiful, and gives you the sense your actually in California.After 1000 miles, this was the view that was waiting for us.  Worth it I'd say.This time of year, sunsets are pretty next level.Outside the hotel, there were some waves but not enough to get into, so I drove round to a spot close by, which had a beautiful spot wrapping round a cliff.I know.  Scenic right?The pier at Santa Barbara.This was something I have long wanted to see, the Channel Islands original store.This was the breakfast zone.I know.  Another sunset.Today we headed down to Ventura, and got set up by the beach for the day.I was in charge of the mini mini waves.A great start to the trip!
