Torrey Pines
I feel like we've been to quite a few spots in California but today was the first time we'd been to Torey Pines nature reserve. Just south of the Cardiff reef as above, it is damn beautiful.
It resembles part desert, part beach, part hike, its such a great spot for a quick hike and you can take any route of about 6 which give you a little workout.
This is the view from above. Amazing waves yesterday morning too.
From up top we could see a couple of stand uppers going for it against the cliffs.
We also managed to spied a whale way out back.
We also saw this guy surfing the waves, yesterday morning I also surfed and saw a seal swim right by.
Insert tongue out emoticon here.
Greg Martin was flying by too.
Later on we packed up and headed for a beach spot. One of the best things about a Land Rover is the tail gate which can fold down, and make a makeshift bed, restaurant, board waxing station, wind sheltering, star gazing station. Lenny requested some shade from the sun though for his afternoon snooze.
Thank you California for another lovely day.
